What is the Learning Vault?
The Learning Vault is an online source for free classes on a variety of subjects. Currently, the majority of the content is from MIT's open courseware program. As the Learning Vault grows we will be compiling material from a variety of sources.
What makes the Learning Vault better?
The Learning Vault offers two distinct advantages to eager minds that are often lacking at other free course sites. First, we have integrated community-driven support into all the content on our system. This includes bulletin boards for asking and answering questions, and areas on all note pages where learners can discuss the topic and concepts being taught right on the page.
Second, the learning vault is designed for ease of use. We avoid the use of PDF or PPT files. This makes the content accessible without the need to download third party software. It also makes the content viewable on mobile devices. We also strive to be standards compliant, making our content more accessible to those with disabilities.
What is the Learning Vault's mission?
To deliver high quality, accessible, community-supported educational content to eager minds anywhere.
